Have you ever felt like Do you remember the account of how God suddenly broke Paul and Silas out of the Philippine prison? You can read it in the sixteenth chapter of Acts: al fitness goals, and you’ve achieved some success, but you are stuck. Perhaps your church or ministry has hit a plateau in one or more areas. I have a message from the Lord for you: This is a breakout year! You will move forward! It’s time for you to break out of anything that has been limiting you!
Breakout The Lord spoke to me regarding the next calendar year. He said, “This is a breakout year!” He is telling me, you, and the rest of the body of Christ, that now is the time to Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. (Isaiah 54:2-3)
Believe and Receive Whatever has held you back, kept you down, or impeded your growth will move out of the way as you believe and receive this Word from the Lord. However, don’t think that your breakout is all up to God; you have a big part to play. You have to believe and receive the Word of God. You must take action by faith because faith without works is dead. (James 2:20)
Your Part Your part begins with your words. A few verses after Isaiah foretold of “breakout,”he wrote that No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17) First of all, I want you to notice that simply because God has declared “Breakout” for you does not indicate that your path will be smooth and clear. Don’t be surprised when weapons are formed against you. Don’t be intimidated by them either, but don’t look for God to take authority over them. That is your part! Notice who is supposed to “condemn every tongue that rises against thee in judgment.” It’s you! You have to take authority over anything that is coming against you in the name of Jesus. The Lord told us how to move mountains, walls, or anything else that stands in the way of your breakout: And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:22-23)
Breakout Happens Suddenly You may have been in an adverse situation for months or even years. However, this is the year that things will change suddenly. Suddenly means that one moment everything is going one way, and then in the next moment, everything changes. Maybe you’ve been dealing with health issues for years. Simply because something has been going on for an extended period does not mean you have to deal with it tomorrow. Suddenly your healing can manifest! Perhaps you’ve been in debt for most of your adult life. Suddenly things can turn around for you! You can go from the debtor to the lender overnight! Your business or ministry may have seen limited growth over the last year or quarter, but you can suddenly experience exponential growth. It may seem like things can never change, but I’m telling you that suddenly(s) are coming your way this year. Don’t be moved by what you see or feel. God can reverse the work the devil has done in your life for the past twenty years in one single second!
Paul and Silas’ Breakout Do you remember the account of how God suddenly broke Paul and Silas out of the Philippian prison? You can read it in the sixteenth chapter of Acts: And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. (Acts 16:23-26) This is a great example of sudden breakout! Think about it--one hour, one minute, and even one second before the prison was shaken, they didn’t know when they would be free. Paul and Silas did their part, and God broke them out suddenly. What can we learn from their sudden breakout?
Notice that Paul and Silas obeyed God by going to Macedonia, yet they ran into a wall of opposition! Don’t assume that hitting a wall indicates that you missed God. Problems are not an indication of disobedience; on the contrary, when you obey God, Satan may come after you with a vengeance!
They prayed. They didn’t play the “blame game.” Paul didn’t blame Silas, and Silas didn’t blame Paul. Instead, they looked to the One who was the solution. They didn’t whine and cry. God is not moved by how upset you are. He is moved by faith. In Matthew 15:28 Jesus said, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. Pray the Word of God over your situation and stay in faith!
They praised. They sang praises before the breakout manifested. Praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Praise is declaring the goodness of God and thanking Him for the answer before you see it!
They weren’t timid! They prayed and praised loudly enough for all the prisoners to hear them. Be bold for Jesus! Let everyone hear about Him! He is the only One who died on the cross and rose from the dead! There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) I suggest you stop whatever you’re doing and praise God right now!
Nothing is Impossible Nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37) Regardless of what “wall” you have hit, or what stands in your way, it is quite possible that it will move suddenly. It is quite possible that you will breakout in the next twelve months, and it is quite possible that this will be the greatest year of your life thus far. Things can turn suddenly! Believe it, speak it, pray the Word, and praise the Lord!
