Direction Without Depending on Google Searches or AI

I want to know God’s will so I can follow it, don’t you? However, as Faith Leaders, we must be cautious about seeking only easy, crystal-clear answers without investing the necessary effort. When someone offers you a million-dollar return on a dollar investment, you should probably back away because “something for nothing” is usually risky and not God’s way. So, how do you know whether that property is the one for your ministry or whether you should invest in stocks, mutual funds, precious metals, or crypto? It is possible to receive crystal-clear direction from God, and I’ll reveal how at the end of this article. For now, I’ll just give you a hint: it has nothing to do with Google searches or AI.

Some Things are Obvious

Some things we’re supposed to do are clear from God’s Word. For example, we know we’re supposed to preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15). However, we must know the timing and be led by the Holy Ghost in how to approach someone with the Good News. The Holy Ghost may say, “Wait. Let me prepare the ground in that person’s heart before you share Jesus with them.”

The Peace of God or the Pressure of People

Who makes the final decision in your ministry or your home? There has to be one person who says, “The buck stops here,” and takes responsibility for the decisions. Making those judgments is easier for Christian Leaders who know how to let the peace of God rule in their hearts. The AMPC version of Colossians 3:15 says: And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Faith Leader, when the real estate agent or congregant puts pressure on you to do something, that is not God. Their advice may not be wrong, but yielding to pressure instead of following peace is.

God leads by peace. The enemy drives by pressure. Remember that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, not the Good Cattleman. Sheep are led, but cattle are driven. If you feel rushed, anxious, or forced into a decision, that is not the Spirit of God. Even when God leads you to do difficult things, there will still be a peace underneath the challenge.

Supernatural is often not Spectacular

Supernatural direction from the Holy Ghost is always right. He will never steer you wrong. Sometimes, though not often, He may lead you through a Word of Wisdom or prophecy given in a dramatic way. When that happens, it shouldn’t be brand-new information to you, but it should confirm something God has already put in your spirit. Don’t ask God for a voice from heaven, a dream, a sign, or a vision. Do not “lay a fleece” before the Lord.

Gideon used the fleece to determine God’s will, but he was not born again. He did not have the Holy Spirit living in his spirit as you do, Faith Leader. You are a child of God, and Romans 8:14 says: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 1 Kings 19:12 reminds us that the voice of God inside a believer is not spectacular; it is gentle and always correct. It says that Elijah heard God speak in a “still, small voice.”

Five Steps for Supernatural Direction

So, here we are with five steps to get crystal-clear direction from God, none of which involve a Google search or an AI program:

1.     Check the Word.

Is the decision consistent with Scripture?

1.     Check Your Spirit.

Do you have peace, or do you have uneasiness? My spiritual father said the peace of God In you spirit was like a “velvety feeling.”

2.     Remove or Ignore Pressure

God does not “drive” people like cattle. He is not on the side of anxiety -driven decisions.

3.     Give it Time.

Peace will remain. Anything emotionally based will fluctuate.

4.     Act in Faith.

Once you are well established in peace, take that step or make that call.

Supernatural direction isn’t complicated, but it requires sensitivity to the Holy Ghost, which means spending time with Him, especially by praying in tongues. When you pray in tongues for an extended time, you ignite your spirit and quiet your mind, will, and emotions. Keep developing your sensitivity to the Spirit by praying in the Spirit. Seek Him in all things, and always follow peace, not pressure.
